ON.Fire Media Arts Conference is almost here!

Between June 15-19, Independent Media Arts Conference will be holding media arts related panels and workshops at CBC's Glenn Gould Studio. In addition to the conference events for passholders, CARFAC Ontario and IMAA are also holding a series of FREE receptions, gallery openings and parties to the public (listed below).   AUDIOVISION  Jackman Hall, 317 Dundas West, Wednesday, June 16th, 8:30pm - 9:30pm. Short films that bring together sound and image, presented by Michelle Jacques.   ON.FIRE AT 401 RICHMOND 401 Richmond Street West, Thursday, June 17th, 5pm - 11pm. Exhibitions, performances and gallery openings. Special Guest appearance by Ontario Minister of Tourism and Culture, Michael Chan.   FESTIVAL ON.FIRE AT THE GLADSTONE 1214 Queen Street West, June 18th, 7pm - 10pm, 2nd Floor Rooms of Gladstone Hotel. REVELATIONS, a show featuring Nelson Henricks, Hernán Khourian, Andrés Denegri, Lucas Bambozzi and Emanuel Licha.   ***CARFAC ONTARIO SESSION: KEEPING THE FIRE BURNING*** Glenn Gould Studio, 250 Front Sreet West, Saturday, June 19, 12:30pm - 2pm.  This discussion will inform the strategic planning and cultural mapping work that the CARFAC Ontario board will be undertaking. Additional issues for broader discussion will address how we define regional needs and what our potential for collaboration, idea exchange and innovation is. We strongly encourage members to attend.   CLOSING PARTY AT THE MUSEUM OF CANADIAN CONTEMPORARY ART (MOCCA) 952 Queen Street West, June 19th, 8pm - 11pm.
