The beneficiaries of the proceeds from the concert are the students in the St. Lawrence College Music Theatre Performance Program.
Many people supported me when I was starting out, says Alexander. I believe in the Performance Program and want to see these budding professional artists reach their goals.

Howard Alexander has been writing music since his high school days at BCI. In 2002 he completed the score for the opera, The Last Wife which was performed in recital at the Brockville Arts Centre.
The Retrospective Concert consists of 20 selected pieces from his thirty years of composing. Small ensemble music for woodwinds, choir pieces, an organ work, two selections from the opera The Last Wife, band pieces written specifically for the Brockville Concert Band, and jazz band pieces performed by Alexanders Big Time Band round out the program.
Selecting music for the program has been a question of what to leave out, Alexander notes.
Most of the works on the program have been written for friends and students to play, states Alexander. Two pieces are going to be performed for the first time a mens choir piece and a commissioned work for the Brockville Concert Band.
Admission to this once in a lifetime concert is a free will donation. Funds raised will go to the Faculty Bursary Fund for students enrolled in the St. Lawrence College Music Theatre program.
