Following on the success of last year's week-long Cubafest celebration, the Canadian Cuban Friendship Association of Kingston is please to announce that another Cuban musical act will be in Kingston for a night of dancing it up, Cuban style!
Arnaldo Rodriguez and his 11 piece band are coming from Havana and will be performing at Zorba's on June 5th. This fundraiser for the Kingston CCFA will help people in Kingston's sister-city of Cienfuegos, to recover from hurricane damage.
Doors open at 8:30 pm for this 19+ event. Tickets are $25 and include admission, parking, snacks and some great door prizes!
Arnaldo Rodriguez is one of the most recognized talents of young Cuban musicians. In the past 8 years, his band has received 4 awards at the Cubadiscos and made the top hit list in Cuba many times over. He frequently shares the stage with members of the Buena Vista Social Club and includes in their repertoire a variety of rhythms from boleros to traditional Cuban son, pop and reggaeton. Visiting several countries in Europe and South America, Arnaldo y su Talisman are touring for the first time in Canada!
