RCHA June entertainment

Here are the events for June - a full calendar to meet every taste. Come, bring your friends, and enjoy the music and meet new friends. The Club is air conditioned.

A poster version is attached. We would appreciate your printing some copies and displaying them where ever you can.

EVERY THURSDAY  June 3, 10, 17, 24:

8 - 11 p.m.                 Entertainment hosted by Brian Flynn

Brian Flynn, a very capable player on the fiddle as well as several other instruments, brings a special guest each week. Join him for great entertainment.

EVERY FRIDAY  June 4, 11, 18, 25:

5 - 7:30 p.m. Rubbaboo Trio

Cam Schaefer: Piano, Bob Arlidge: Bass, Jak Thrasher: Percussion, playing a quiet mixture of instrumental tunes. Guests each week including Kevin Head on vocals and guitar.Great listening to wind down your week.

EVERY SUNDAY  June 6, 13, 20, 27:

2 - 5:00 p.m.              Sing-a-Long  Sundays      No charge.

Join various hosts including Glenna Green, Ron Gray & friends for an afternoon sing-a-long of favourite songs.  

8 - 11 p.m.                 Folk Roots                           No charge

Friday June 4:                     8:30 p.m. – Midnight          Garth Amey & Denyse Van Rhyn

Denyse, vocals is accompanied by Garth Amey on guitar/vocals playing a mix of Rock & Roll, Pop, Blues and Country

Saturday  June 5:               8 p.m. - Midnight                 Sittin’ Ducks           

Ronnie O'Handley and Willie Dixon on lead vocals, guitars and bass with long time free lance drummer Al Brommit holding it all down.  Playing 50's to present day they also welcome any requests from the audience.

Friday June 11:                   8:30 p.m. – Midnight          Whiskey River

Keith Winwood, acoustic guitar/vocals; Craig Tousignant, keyboards; Bill Plaxton, bass; Chris Jackson, mandolin/acoustic guitar/vocals; Pete Aube, harmonica /vocals; Roland Dupras, acoustic guitar/dobro playing roots/country blues .

                                     

Saturday  June 12:            8 p.m. – Midnight                Agent Blue

A 5-piece band, that blends blues with jazz and rock in a diverse repertoire of original material & cover tunes.

Friday June 18:                   8:30 p.m. – Midnight          James Kirkham Karaoke

Sing and dance and be entertained by this popular artist.

Saturday June 19:             9 p.m. - Midnight                 Blues Jam with the MoJo Shooters

In association with the Kingston Blues Society the RCHA hosts an Open Blues Jam with local favorites The MoJo Shooters. Featuring Peter Aube on harmonica. Vocalists and musicians are invited to the stage to jam with the band.

Friday June 25:                   8:30 p.m. – Midnight          A Bit of Nostalgia
John Malcolm and Reagan Smith sing the best of the classics for your listening and dancing pleasure. They are a Las Vegas-style act that has a special appeal to all ages.

 

Saturday June 26:             8:30 p.m. - Midnight           Bob Robertson Trio

 Bob Robertson, Guitars & Vocals, Gord McRae percussion  & vocals, Kevin Head Guitar and vocals, playing  an eclectic mix of original material, mixed with some lesser known covers, and some lovely older swing tunes.
