Prince Edward County Music Festival: September 16-25, 2010


Prince Edward County Music Festival -- Bridging the Old and the New, September 16 to 25, 2010. Join us at the historic and acoustically superb Church of St. Mary Magdalene, Picton for evening concerts from Mozart to Gellman, at Books & Company, Picton for A Cello for Chelsea, music and story for the whole family, and at the Grange of Prince Edward Vineyards, Hillier for a delightful afternoon of song and wine! Festival artistic director and pianist Stéphane Lemelin welcomes celebrated Canadian composer Steven Gellman as composer-in-residence.  Among his works are commissions that have been performed by major orchestras across Canada. Festival artists include the Quebec-based Alcan Quartet, Aaron Au, viola, Donna Brown, soprano, Susan Hoeppner, flute, Judy Loman, harp, Paul Marleyn, cello, Martin Riseley, violin and Margaret Munro Tobolowska, cello.
